Bootcamp for Parents
Our district is hosting Bootcamp and for encouraging families to attend Part 1 on zoom. Please attend even if you missed the first one!!!
The turnout and energy were fantastic, and that only happens because of your partnership.
This is a reminder that Part 2 will take place on:
📅 Monday, November 24th
🕕 6:30 PM
📍 Virtual via Zoom https://zoom.us/j/6961564388?pwd=nlz7edvKXKjHdgbGBtlVSclSe8O1Ye.1&omn=94714374552
👉 Registration link: HCSD5 Family Leadership Boot Camp - Google Forms
As we prepare for Monday, I want to emphasize the importance of school representation. Each school should have at least 3–5 parent leaders participating—PA/PTA officers, SLT members, Title I PAC representatives, and any families who want to build their knowledge and leadership capacity.
This bootcamp directly supports compliance, strengthens family engagement, and builds the leadership pipeline in our district. Please take a few minutes today and Monday to:
✔ Personally reach out to your parent leaders
✔ Confirm who will be attending
✔ Share the registration link
✔ Follow up with anyone who hasn’t responded
Your outreach truly makes the difference. The more informed and empowered our parent leaders are, the stronger our school communities become.
Thank you for everything you do and for continuing to model the MECCA values in your engagement with families. I appreciate you.

Please use the GRP Summary Guide https://www.schools.nyc.gov/school-life/safe-schools/emergency-readiness to discuss our responses with your child in advance of this drill.
