2025–2026 Electronic Devices Policy
To all Parents and Guardians,
It is important that you learn about the new Personal Internet-Enabled Electronic Devices. This includes your student's cell phone and other internet-enabled devices. Students will not be permitted to use their personal cell phones during the entire school day.
In accordance with New York State Education Law §2803 , which went into effect on August 1, 2025 , and the NYC DOE’s updated Chancellor’s Regulation A-413 , all public schools are required to adopt and enforce a policy that prohibits the use of personal internet-enabled electronic devices during the school day. This includes, but is not limited to, cell phones, smartwatches, wireless headphones, tablets/iPads, and portable gaming systems.
